Coach Gutierrez’s passion for coaching stems from her commitment to glorifying God through softball while mentoring the next generation of athletes. Inspired by the competitiveness of the game and her desire to share lessons learned from her playing career, she found her calling at Nelson University, where her father, Jimmy Gutierrez, serves as Head Coach. Along with her familial connection, it was their shared vision for faith-driven athletics brought her to Nelson, where she embraces the opportunity to guide young players in a Christ-driven way. Her coaching philosophy centers on giving all glory to God, whether in triumph or adversity, recognizing that He is the source of each student-athlete's abilities, hard work, and love that define the sport.
